  • Diplomatic (Diplomatic Corps / Representative Politis)


Diplomatic (permanent) is a state representative who perform the role (tasks) in politics, whose activities cover all the interests of the Indonesian state, whose jurisdiction covers the entire territory of the recipient or the entire field activities of an international organization.

Diplomatic representatives based in the capital of the recipient country or other city provided by the recipient country.
The number of members of the diplomatic representatives is determined by the approval of sending and receiving countries with consideration needs.



  • The Principal Tasks of Diplomatic, are:

  1. Representing the state in the broadest sense to negotiate issues concerning the two countries and to complete them.
  2. Conducting relations with other countries (bringing the official voice of the country).
  3. Administer and maintain the country's interests in the country which occupied.
  4. Provide information to the country about the state occupied the extent permitted by international law.
  5. If necessary, it can act as a civil registrar, granting a passport, and so on.


Diplomatic placement process, as follows:

  1. The exchange of information between the two countries to open Diplomatic by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  2. Foreign Minister appoint someone who meets the requirements submitted to the president for approval.
  3. President gives approval letter to the Foreign Minister.
  4. Foreign Minister informed the recipient country to obtain approval. Demende aggregation (agreement), the approval of the prospective recipient countries for the implementation of diplomatic relations and diplomatic representation placement.
  5. Statements persona grata (the trustworthy) the receiving country and the approval on the candidate diplomatic representative (ambassador) to be placed based on the curriculum vitae (résumés).
